The Hermann Gmeiner Fund (Germany) belonged to the SOS Children's Villages International visits Phu Tho province

PhuthoPortal - The Hermann Gmeiner Fund (Germany) belong to the SOS Children's Villages International led by Dr. Christoph Marc Pressler – Chairman of The Hermann Gmeiner Monitor Committee visited and paid a working in Phu Tho. Welcome the mission, there were Vice Chairman of Phu Tho People’s Committee Ha Ke San; representative of the Office of People’s Committee and many departments; Viet Tri SOS Children's Villages; Hermann Gmeiner Vocation School, Viet Tri SOS primary School.


 

Phu Tho is one of seventeen province in Vietnam receiving the aid by the SOS Children's Villages International. Projects in Viet Tri are the SOS Children's Villages, the youth dormitory, Hermann Gmeiner High School, vocation school. Through 18 years of operating, the Viet Tri SOS Children's Villages has been cared and manage 286 children from 4 years old to 29 years old, in which 134 children lives 15 families, 152 children’s live at the youth dormitory. After children’s learn career they have found the jobs.

 

16 years ago, Viet Tri Hermann Gmeiner High School has trained 10.341 pupils. The school year 2016 – 2017, there are 26 class, 1.017 pupils in which 154 pupils are children’s of Viet Tri SOS Children's Villages. In 2005, the Viet Tri Hermann Gmeiner Vocation School has trained 1.888 pupils in which 1.152 pupils of intermediary vocation and 736 pupils of primary vocation. After graduating, there is over 85,5% pupil getting job and income.

 

Vice Chairman Ha Ke San warmly welcome the mission visited Phu Tho province on the occasion of the new year. He told overview the potentials, strengthens and the cultural of the ancestral land. He also affirmed that in years the SOS Children's Villages International in Phu Tho has good environment, humanity, take care, education, share and help children’s whose has specially difficult situation. He hoped in the next time, the SOS Children's Villages International will increase regulation for children’s of Viet Tri SOS Children’s Village to learn in the vocation schools, collages, universities; building house for mothers, ants of Viet Tri SOS Children’s Village who are retire; support the capital to build two new rooms and equipments to teach the mechanic, welding, electrical-water to serve the learner’s requirement and lack of equipments so as to meet the requirement of the labor market at Viet Tri Hermann Gmeiner Vocation School.

 

On behalf of the mission, Dr. Christoph Marc Pressler thanked for the welcome and high evaluated Phu Tho’s achievements. He also gratitude the active co-operation of Phu Tho province and said the SOS Children's Villages International will try the best to help Vietnam children in general and Phu Tho in particular, specially children’s have the difficult situations. The SOS Children's Villages International will consider Phu Tho’s suggest to build the detail plan.
